The idea of The Grand Corset Ball was first thought of in late 2003 by a group of people who love fine dressing.

We are a small group of individuals who have found that there are just not enough occasions to wear our corsets and formal wear. We are not 24/7 tightlacers, nor affiliated with any formal organisations. Our aim is to provide an occasion for people to show their corsets off. We appreciate that this may be too "open" an event for serious tightlacers but we intend that the event be a special evening, and one that will be enjoyed by new, occasional and regular corset wearers.

We have found the venue as you can see from the photographs on our Intro page. The venue dates back over two hundred years and is in the centre of London. It has beautiful rooms, some boasting exquisite wood panelling, others have beautifully ornate high ceilings. A large sweeping staircase leading to the Drawing room and Edinburgh ballroom, with glittering crystal chandelier, and ornate ceiling.
